The Baptist, political politics
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (ISA, 9:6, ASV).

Christian Politics

The political process can seem a little crazy at times can't it? It can get downright nasty. At The Baptist we feel that every Christian should vote; how can you not? Cutting through the the spin can be almost impossible, but if you do your homework you can make an informed decision. To that end we offer these links to the major parties as well as sites that will show you their voting record and how they are rated by various special interest groups. If you haven't done it yet, please register for the next voting cycle, and VOTE! If you don't you are part of the problem.

United States

The Republican Party

The Democratic Party

The Liberal Party

The Conservative Party

Please keep in mind that if we are Christians, Jesus Christ is our Lord and we should do our best to follow His example. We should be a CHRISTIAN first, not a Republican or Democrat. Below are sites that are related to some hot-button issues or can give you some information about candidates. Know what your candidate stands for and vote accordingly.

The last election was a heart breaker for a lot of us, but we need to remember that God is in control, and we shouldn't give up the fight. If you didn't vote, you're part of the problem. If you voted for the President, then you are partly responsible for what happens over the next couple of years. The President has been very clear of what his political views are and where he wants to take the country.
